Walkthrough

Speak to Deago at 9.0N, 22.2E in Shoushi to begin this quest. This is a kill quest for solo level 16-19 Thornlings, which are all found in the same area, the Prosper Fettermounds (South or West Prosper Outpost).

You need to kill 5 Worriers, 7 Harrowers, and 7 Rankle. The journal doesn't tell you, but if you find any Thornling Marksmen, they can also be killed and they actually count as Rankle Thornlings for this quest. Each kill will advance your quest. Once you're done, return to Deago for your reward.

Lore & Dialog

Deago tells you, "I have reason to believe that the Thornlings are planning a takeover of our fair town of Shoushi here. This is unacceptable! We drudges found Shoushi first, and no cape-wearing, pipe-playing, jig-hopping zephir wannabes are going to take it from us! We'll have to take the rumble to them. Incapacitate a few Thornlings for me, and I'll give you a reward for an honest day's work."

Deago tells you, "I've heard the news of your triumph against the Thornlings. That'll teach those Thornlings to try to invade our territory. I'm going to give you a good reward for this! Now, Gormery says that he's got a proposition to in front of interested takers. I wasn't interested myself, but if you talk to him, I'm sure he'll let you in on it."
