The Northeast Uplands are dominated by Mount Esper, whose foothills lead toward the central town of Millstone. To the northwest, rolling hills with Deciduous and Tuft trees meet the ocean shoreline. To the southwest, Redwood forests provide cover to creatures that lurk there. The Obsidian Span, now shattered and broken, stretches across the river to the Arwic Outlands in the east.
