1. To do this quest you must find a Gear Badge #????? off the corpses of Gearknight in the Knorr Ramparts and Knorr Desolation region.
2. Enter the Fort Strathelar at 51.8, 39.2E and hand this to the Gear Master inside, through the Stairs Down door.
3. Next, take the badge to the Stairs Up door and hand it to General Lord Byros when he changes from his ghost form to his physical form. Handing the badge to him from behind may prompt him to change forms.
4. This will transport you to a room with level 74 solo Nightmare Legionary. Killing one will advance your quest and inform you to keep killing in order to energize the badge.
5. After approximately 15-20 kills your quest will advance again and prompt you to pass through the Spirit Portal. Now on a platform with a sole Nightmare Legionary, ignore it and take the Dungeon Portal to return to General Lord Byros' room.
6. Hand the Gear Badge #????? back to General Lord Byros in order to complete the quest.
