Vigor over Time

Vigor over Time, usually called VoT, means any spell or effect that applies a Vigor Heal skill recurrently in a specific period of time. VoTs are usually measured in vigor per second.

To completely understand a VoT effect we need to know 3 specific information:

  • VoT Periodicity - Defines the time taken to apply each recurrent effect from the VoT. This is usually called TIC(time) or time to TIC.
  • VoT Intensity - Defines the Raw Power of the Effect. Usually described in vigor per second (vps) or vigor per tic.
  • VoT Duration - Defines the time until the effect run outs.

The Total VoT heal can be discovered by one of these formulas:

  • vigor per second x Duration (if the vps is given)
  • vigor per tic x Duration : tic (if vigor per tic is given)

IF a spell or effect has a base vigor heal and a VoT we can only figure the magnitude of it when we add the Total VoT Heal to the base Vigor Heal.

NOTE: another MMO's have MoT (Mana over Time) or similar to other energy used in those games.
