Quest Overview
Defeat as many opponents as you can. If you are defeated in battle, you will receive no reward. If you choose to leave the gauntlet before defeating all opponents you will receive a lesser reward. Enter the portal and defeat your first opponent to move on.
Start Location: Gauntlet Arena East of Cragstone (32.4N, 7.2W)
Requirements: Level 20

Enter Gauntlet Arena and speak with Master of the Gauntlet to begin the quest. Go right and enter the portal to be ported to the first opponent. To complete the Gauntlet, you must defeat all opponents. However, if you go back and speak with Master of the Gauntlet without dieing or defeating some but not all opponents, you will still receive a smaller experience reward. If you die, you will receive nothing.
The version of the Gauntlet quest you receive depends on your level:
Tyro Gauntlet: level 20-24
Apprentice Gauntlet: level 25-29
Novice Gauntlet: level 30-34
Professional Gauntlet: level 35-39
Veteran Gauntlet: level 40-44
Champion Gauntlet: level 45 +
Monsters get progressively more difficult as you go. Your current level when you start the Gauntlet determines your starting "bracket". This helps determine your XP reward according to the table below. Each bracket is actually a separate quest with its own timer. If a level 29 does Apprentice Gauntlet and levels to 30 with the experience, that person can do the Novice Gauntlet immediately after without waiting another 22 hours.

Master of the Gauntlet tells you, "Welcome, brave gladiator! Enter the portal before you to compete in your first fight. If you are defeated, you will lose all! If you survive, you will proceed to face another, stronger foe. If you cravenly return before you have defeated all your opponents, I will give you some lesser reward, but if you manage to beat all your foes, you will receive a great boon!"
Master of the Gauntlet tells you, "Astonishing! You have defeated all your foes! Congratulations, you have earned a great reward... Er, wait, where's that golden gladius got to? Heh, well, take this potion, it served me well when I was a champion, perhaps it will serve you too."
