Walkthrough

This is a solo quest and one of many possible quests that Kanten will give at random. Every two hours, you can return for another quest.

1. Kill a Savage Lasher. There are some just outside of Cavendo.
2. Now Kanten wants you to kill a Monouga, but not a undead one. There are some other Monougas in the Prosper Marches near the Eastern Prosper Outpost on the way to the Illuminated Drudge Cave. They are called Eater of Bones and are group monsters, Level 23.
3. Return to Kanten and talk to him several times until he finally gives you your reward.

Lore & Dialog

Kanten tells you, "See, I'm a giver. I like to share. I've built up a lot of knowledge over the years, and I want to help poor little adventurers like yourself. One of these little nuggets of wisdom is this: Sometimes you need to just do what you're told, and do it quickly. Like now: Go kill a Savage Lasher. When you're done you'll have to get back to me right away. And I mean RIGHT AWAY! You really don't want to keep me waiting. No, if you don't know where one is I'm not going to tell you... no questions, just do it!"

Kanten tells you, "Good job. You're learning. Now I want you to go kill a Monouga. Not one of those cursed undead ones either; I want you to kill a live one. Why? I told you before, don't ask, and when you're done, yeah, you know the drill--get back here FAST. Now... go!"

Kanten tells you, "Amazing! You actually FOUND a Monouga? And here I thought they were all extinct... Oh well. You're not gonna like this... but there's a little problem. See, I have funds right now to reward you right now. So why don't you just oh... come back in a week or so? Maybe I'll have a reward for you then. What? 2 hours? Time running out? What in Asheron's name are you talking about? There's no way I'm gonna have the reward in 2 hours. Sorry. That's just the way it goes sometimes."

Kanten tells you, "Look, I already told you... I've got nothing for you. Sorry. Bad luck, but what can I say."

Kanten tells you, "Would you stop pestering me? You can't squeeze blood from a stone!"

Kanten tells you, "You're really beginning to get on my nerves.... Bother me again and you're really going to regret it!"

Kanten tells you, "Yeah, yeah, you got me. This wall all a test, yeah, a test of your persstence and strength of will, yeah, that's it. Most adventurers would just quit after a while, but not you, you just had to keep on bothering me, I mean, you had to keep on valiantly striving for your just reward. Yeah, that's it, I sure wasn't trying to hold out on you or anything...."
